| SCRAWL Boards Deletion Policy On the SCRAWL Boards, members have the ability to edit their individual posts, but are not able to delete them. Generally speaking, this isn't a problem, since old, inactive threads will eventually scroll off the active forum pages. But we also know that this could become an issue in the workshopping forums, where members often want to remove their workshopped pieces after a while, for a variety of reasons, the most important of which is having gotten the piece published elsewhere. So, if you have posted a piece in any of the workshopping forums (Short Story, Poetry, Nonfiction, Flash and Chat, Freewrite, or Portrait Prose) and you want it removed, the procedure is as follows:
Please note: From time to time in the future, we will go through all forums and remove older threads (those which have been pushed far back in the forums' archives and are perhaps a few months old). This housekeeping is necessary to maintain optimum performance of our message boards, as well as to free up server space. Keep this in mind if you write anything you intend for posterity, because eventually it will be removed, perhaps without notice. Due to this periodic housekeeping, it's suggested that if a particular thread contains information that you intend to refer to again in the future, you should save or print this info for your own reference purposes. Thank you for your continued cooperation and support. Return to the Scrawl Home Page.
